Are you looking to buy the charm bracelets? If yes, you must know its history. After all, it is the history of these bracelets that has enhanced its charms even further. This is why you should have an idea about the rich, colorful and truly charming history of these bracelets.
Well, the earliest examples of the charm bracelet can be traced back in the prehistoric times, in the Neolithic Age when people were fond of stones.

Even then, they used to pick up stones or pieces of woods and carry them as amulets that can ward off evil. Right since then, these bracelets started to be associated with the magic and supernatural intervention. However, the charms became ornaments with the advent of the majestic Egyptian civilization. The pharaohs and their contemporaries started crafting charm bracelets that are made with the precious stones and metals. In fact, this is the first time when the charm bracelets actually became a piece of jewelry.

As we all know, the Egyptians have an overwhelming faith in the life after death. For them, the charm bracelet played a very important role in preparing their prosperous after life. In fact, they believed that the charm bracelets would help god assigning the right status for the right person. The Christians started wearing the charm bracelets since the Roman Empire. At the initial stage, they used to craft the ichthys or the fish charms and keep them underneath their garments. They had to show them to other Christians if they wanted to gain access to the forbidden worship activities. Even the contemporary Jewish scholars used to wear amulets that contain the tiny slips where the Jewish laws are written. The idea was to establish their love for the Jewish law.

The magic associated with the charms took a new dimension in the Medieval Age when the knights used to wear them to keep them safe from the dangers. At the same time, the kings and the knights used to wear the charm bracelets as a proof of their decent birth. However, with the advent of the renaissance, the magic associated with the charm bracelets started to fade. Subsequently, the craze to wear the charms as amulets started to diminish. However, they were still worn by a large number of people.

One royal example of this trend can be found in Queen Victoria who was a great lover of the truth charms. History tells us that she has a large collection of charms. However, it was from this time that the charms started being treated as a major fashion accessory. Different types of charm accessories such as lockets, beads, etc. came into being.

These days, the charm bracelets are considered one of the most powerful fashion accessories for the right reason. However, if you want to make a statement with your charm bracelet , you have to make sure that you are purchasing the authentic ones. This is why people rely on collectables.co.uk.

Â Â Â Â The spring of 2003, the National “two sessions”, General Secretary Hu Jintao and President Jiang Zemin has to Jiangsu delegation, clearly: in the comprehensive construction well-off society and realize basic modernization in Jiangsu Province to do the vanguard of the country! Came back from Beijing, Kunshan, Jiangsu Provincial Party Secretary Li Yuanchao straight on the speed up the “two take the lead in” process for special research. March 27, 2004, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited Kunshan. The Prime Minister said: “The change in Kunshan amazing!” May 3, 2004, President Hu Jintao inspected Kunshan. General secretary, said: “is like Kunshan, a well-off society is realized!”

   Â

17 years ago, the kinds of food Scholar

Into the main room, head hung on the wall of a certificate of the first thing reporters eye, “Comrade Zhou Tang Shaobin Nishimura, in the 88 years of food storage in an active sell to the state grain patriotism, support for national construction and contribute to the first town . “Tang Xuefen Mandarin Yi Zizi talk over with the blunt. 17 years ago, Tang Xuefen still just a girl in his father’s Tang Shaobin under the leadership of a person’s own 18 acres of land where hard work for a year, smoothly 10000 kilograms of food handed town, in one fell swoop into town kinds of food scholar homes.

Tang Xuefen pointing to its own two-Mulou that more than 20 years ago, has no floor, just a few bungalows, short and broken, and sometimes heavy rain outside, the room inside on the next rain. “Later, when things have changed, the family of each person’s wage increases every year, therefore, the family decided to discuss, repair old one, and soon a two-layer wooden structure of buildings built up, front of the circle a courtyard, surrounded by yard, then build a few houses, “live more and more loose. “Almost the same time, fewer and fewer farm inside the village, and instead, a plants erected. Accompanied by the emergence of yard, into a piece of land for planting trees planned together,” into a dazzling film, village a lot more angry. ”

Start with the landlord to leave the land

Shortly into the 90s last century, in villages, like many others, soup home, 18 acres of farmland requisitioned by the government, the family also completely left the land, this time, more and more visitors to the village, “I The son went to the field school, the family house out of several rooms idle on the lease to the field to the village of people who live. “Ronny did not expect that their own actions seemingly accidental actually coincide the village, and even the whole city the background.

Then, after a few years into the 21st century, the first five years, the rental housing like a gust of spring wind, blowing through the entire city, a new term was born — the landlord economy. Tom said: “Almost every family in the village house rent every month can earn several thousand dollars on.” “In particular, these three years, the village inside the big change, particularly the road wider, and the house better, the days more affluent.

   Â

    From Uchitori to do business

With the town party secretary Zhou’s words, that “In the past Uchitori” and Ming-Sheng Tang, 20 years ago, run township enterprises, a few years ago, his company has been designated as “the Chinese Athletic Association special shoe production base.”

Multi-Sports Goods Co., Ltd. Kunshan Wei, formerly known as sports shoe factory in Kunshan, from 1985, Tang Mingsheng on the palm of the rudder from the enterprise. At that time, business or home sewing machines are only 18 small workshops. In 1995, Ming-Sheng Tang’s friends advised him to produce track-specific shoes, because the domestic track and field athletes to wear special shoes are mostly imported. “Movement-specific shoes and game performance-related, I know that very difficult. But the country has not been done, if I am doing it, the market will be good.” Tang Mingsheng confident. In 1996, Kunshan City, Sports shoe transformed into private enterprises, changed its name to more than Kunshan Wei Sports Goods Co., Ltd., Tang Mingsheng as managing director.

Carrying shoes to run in the world

To adopt a friend’s suggestion, Tang Mingsheng study of several boxes of Nike and Adidas that foreign brand-specific athletic shoes, draw conclusions, “the product must have its own characteristics, otherwise difficult to develop.” Thus, to strong enterprises bones, Tang Mingsheng to re-invest more than 500 million yuan, the new standard factory, the assembly of imported production line 2. Ming-Sheng Tang is one such holding shoes to the athletes, coaches try to continuously improve, with his “multi-wai” exclusive sports shoes into the country and the world.

Seize the opportunity and great development

The 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Chinese athletes to wear 7 “multi-wai,” took five titles. Mentioned that this thing, Tang Mingsheng blossom proud smile on his face. July 13, 2001 China’s successful Olympic bid, “Multi-Wei” brand sports shoes, sports shoes, had the honor among the Chinese Olympic Committee, listed suppliers.

Many years of hard work to Tang Mingsheng are fully aware that there is no high-tech companies is difficult to survive. He said: “I think the market to go along with products, a good product is to lead the market.” In recent years, “Multi-wai” exclusive athletic footwear sold 600,000 pairs a year, sales of 70 million yuan, of which 50% of the products are export.

Charms and charm bracelets have often been bought for women to celebrate important rites of passage, like turning 18 or graduating from school. However, delve a little deeper and it is surprising to see that they boast a long and intriguing history, which spans across thousands of years.
<BR><BR>
Indeed, it has been reported that people first began collecting charms in the Neolithic era, at the end of the Stone Age. Regarded as items of luck and to ward off evil and danger, people would look for charms in the form of unusual pieces of stone and wood, and carry them around.
<BR><BR>
It wasn’t until the ancient Egyptian times though, that actual charm jewellery like bracelets and necklaces were first worn. Adorned with precious stones and metals, the Egyptian people wore them as symbols of both their wealth and social standing. They were also buried with them in the hope that the jewellery would communicate to the gods the sort of afterlife the Egyptian looked forward to.
<BR><BR>
The Christians of the Roman Empire also used charms in the shape of fish as a form of identification and to gain access to a number of secret or illegal worshipping rituals. The kings and knights of the Middle Ages, on the other hand, kept them for protection and to represent their family name or profession.
<BR><BR>
It was Queen Victoria at the start of the 20th Century who revived the wearing of charm jewellery once again. Having traditionally been used for superstitious purposes, it was at this time that it began being worn as more of a fashion statement. As a result, there was a huge growth in the production of trinkets, beads and different types of charms.
<BR><BR>
The end of the Second World War also saw an uptake in the number of the more modern charm bracelets. As soldiers returned home from the battlefield to their loved ones, they brought with them a range of unusual, handmade charms and trinkets.
<BR><BR>
In line with the industrial revolution, and the manufacturing of plastics, the 1940s came out with a range of different charms and bracelet styles, like the gumball charms that were made from celluloid. Particularly attractive to children, they could collect a number of colourful trinkets from the gumball machines and then make a charm bracelet from string.
<BR><BR>
The 1950s saw charm bracelets come into their own: this is when they became famous for women receiving them as presents for such special occasions as birthdays and anniversaries. During the 1970s their status decreased in favour of gold chains, and it wasn’t until the mid 1980s that they regained their former popularity.
<BR><BR>
Since then, <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”charm”>http://www.hsamuel.co.uk/webstore/browse/N/58/”>charm bracelets</a> have remained a firm jewellery staple, with many people sporting one. Ideal for creating a unique, personal piece of jewellery, they make perfect presents for women of all ages. Not only that, but because charms can be added to them, they can grow over time to represent an important and cherished part of any jewellery collection.
<BR><BR>

1. Kim Clijsters

Kim is a Belgian professional tennis player. She is the daughter of former footballer Lei Clijsters and Els Vandecaetsbeek. She is a former number 1 player. After two years of injuries Kim decided that 2007 would be her last years as a professional tennis player. On May 6, 2007, after a tournament in Warsaw, where she again suffered from injuries, Clijsters announced on her website that she would immediately stop tennis.

On March 26, 2009 Clijsters announced her comeback on the WTA tournament in Cincinnati on August 10. Later on in 2009 she played the US Open as a wildcard entry. Clijsters won the US Open 2009 by beating Caroline Wozniacki in the final with 7-5 en 6-3.

2. Lance Armstrong

Armstrong is best known for his record victories in the Tour the France and as a world champion. Armstrong won the Tour de France seven times in a row, from 1999 to 2005. In 1996 he was prognosed with testicular cancer and the doctors gave him twenty to forty percent chance of survival. In 2005, after winning his last Tour de France, he said that this was the perfect moment for a retirement.

In september 2008 he announced he was planning a comeback. The main reason behind his comeback was to call attention to the problems of cancer and make his organisation, Livestrong, well known around the world. The other reason was to prove that he is a non-doping cyclist.

In 2009 he gained the third place in the Tour the France and his career isnâ??t over yetâ?¦

3. Niki Lauda

Niki Lauda was one of the best F1-racers in the world. Lauda won his first world title in 1975 and seemed headed for his second in 1976 when he flew off the road in August 1 of that year at the German Grand Prix (the Nurburgring). He was threatened to burn alive when the wreck caught fire. His racing career seemed over, but to everyoneâ??s amazement Lauda was back behind the wheel of his Ferrari a few weeks later and he missed the world title with just one point.Â

He retired in 1977 (after winning the world title agan) to start his own airline. In 1982 he was lured back to the Formula 1 by McLaren, where in 1984 he won his third world championship. At the end of 1985 Lauda left Formula 1 forever.

4. Mario Lemieux

Mario was one of the greatest NHL players of all-time. Lemieux began his career in 1984 with the Pittsburgh Penguins, which was, at that moment, the worst club in the NHL. He helped the club to win the Stanley Cup both in 1991 and 1992. Over the years received numerous individual awards and Lemieux himself he grew into a legend in the sport.

In 1993 Lemieux beated cancer and he could continue his career, but in 1996 he was forced to retire because of severe back pain. Four years later (in 1997) he made his comeback. In his first game, he scored a goal and added three assists, then in 2006 he received cardiac arrhythmias and again at age 40 was forced to retire.

5. Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is a famous NBA Basketball player. Almost his entire career he played for the Chicago Bulls (1984 – 1993 and 1995 – 1998). He retired in 1993 and started a new career: golf. That didnâ??t work out, so he came back to the NBA in 1995 with the words â??Iâ??m backâ?. In his fifth game he scored 55 points against the enemy of the 90s, the New York Knicks. In that year the Bulls lost their semifinal of the Eastern Conference 4-2 against Orlando Magic with players like Shaquille Oâ??Neal and Anfernee â??Pennyâ? Hardaway.

In his first full season after his comeback Jordan became topscorer for the eight time, but something much more memorable was delivered by the Bulls. They where the first team in the history of the NBA (which officially exists since 1947) to win 70 games (theyâ??ve won 72 games)

Charm bracelets are one of the most resurgent fashion accessories in the world today. The bracelets’ unique qualities make them some of the most highly desired pieces around. Despite their yo-yo-ing in and out of fashion over the past 100 years, charm bracelets are back in style, and are bigger than ever.

Silver Charm Bracelets are interesting in a number of ways as they represent a shift in the way society views jewellery. Whereas in the past, jewellery was wealth itself, it is now a symbol of wealth. Because of the availability of high-quality jewellery, it was easily transferrable to cash. Jewellery is now such big business that high-end designers are able to charge astronomical sums for garish pieces. The small, understated, pretty charm bracelet however shows us a time when jewellery wasn’t all about wealth and status, and more about fun and representing the wearer’s personality.

The first record of charms being used was for religious purposes. Christians from Rome kept small charms in the shape of a fish for fear of persecution about their beliefs. This let other Christians know of their religious leaning. The fish charm here was used because of the Greek word for fish (“ichthys”) which was an acronym for “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour”. With a fascination for symbols the Greeks and Romans wore other such charms, mainly out of superstition and respect for the Gods.

Charm bracelets are also believed to have been carried by dark days of the Middle Ages, charms and amulets were worn by knights and kings. Charms were also worn on belts to represent family origin, political standing and profession.

Charm bracelets were first used as we see them today during the reign of Queen Victoria in the early 20th century. Just like today’s fashion, those in high society were the trendsetters, and when news broke of Victoria wearing these bracelets those lower in society followed suit, and began wearing bracelets with their family crests, beads and lockets hanging from them.

Charm bracelets came back into fashion shortly after the Second World War. By this time, production and manufacturing costs had decreased and charms were available through gumball type machines. As well as the availability of charms increasing, the meaning of charms also changed. Silver Charms now represented milestones in life – sweet 16, wedding and graduation.

Designers have also cottoned on to the recent resurgence. Certain fashion designer charm bracelets retail at $25,000, and with single charms being sold for almost $5,000 each. Charm bracelets are however much more widely available, and are sold at much more reasonable prices. Popular charms now include musical notes and the like as well as fashion items themselves, such as boots and handbags. It is an interesting reflection that what we wear as a fashion item is itself a fashion item.

As well as the superstitious element to charm bracelets, the aesthetic appeal of them also make them very attractive. A simple colourful charm can easily add a touch of glamour to an outfit, and can help to explain its enduring popularity.

One of the unique things about charm bracelets is how customisable they are to suit a number of purposes – to reflect one’s personality, for superstitious reasons, or to represent something in one’s life. It is this versatility that some believe is the reason behind its consistent popularity.

The custom of wearing charm bracelets dates back thousands of years, and although the materials and designs on have changed, the concept itself has never disappeared style.

This form of jewelry initially had a religious function, and dates back to prehistoric times. Elizabeth Florence, president of the Jewelry Information Center, “The first charm bracelets were probably worn by the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians and Hittites from 500 to 400 BC Those charms were made of lapis lazuli, crystal rocks and gems and were inscribed with small designs, such as figures of gods, humans and animals. They were immediately associated with special powers. ”

Over time, lost their charm spiritual protection functions and became fashion jewelry. The 1890s saw a renaissance of charms, especially in Victorian England, where the development is complex and fashion jewelry. Queen Victoria helped popularize the trend by wearing a charm bracelet of small lockets holding family portraits.

WW II caused another revival of charm bracelets in America in the 1940s and 1950s, as soldiers stationed abroad picked up charms as souvenirs in the European cities they visited the house and have the wives and girlfriends. The fashion trend continued well beyond peace.

Charms remains a popular item of jewelry, memories in customized mass production increasingly jewelry market. Popular themes include horoscope signs, birth charms, travel souvenirs, memorabilia and family. Many women start collecting charms when they are children, and the charm bracelet grows with them, reflecting hobbies and personal experience. A charm bracelet can hold a small replica of a graduation cap, wedding bells, medallions with children or pictures.

Charms are also a popular gift because of their affordable price. A subtle charm of money could be obtained for less than ten dollars, but it is possible to spend hundreds of dollars on a charm 18K and set with gems.

The Italian charm, a genre in itself, not swinging a chain like traditional charms. Instead, they are welded to the severance of ties hanging on a bracelet extensible. They are decorated with letters, symbols, pictures or stones, or have enamel pictures painted on. Charms can be switched on and off these modular bracelets to create new configurations match different moods and outfits. They are traditionally made of stainless steel or 18k gold. Italian charms are the same size and the bracelet can be customized to fit each wrist, a small size holds 17 or less links, a means 18, and a large 19 or more.

There are several companies which produce Italian charms, but all brands can be exchanged on the same bracelet. The “starter” bracelet of blank links costs approximately five dollars, and the charms cost fifteen dollars and more. China also manufactures Italian charms, and although they are popular (and, as with most Chinese products a competitive price), some consumers report occasional curiosities such as reversed images and poor fit .

The origin of the marriage ceremony is very old. Some form of marriage has existed as far hack in antiquity as history can penetrate and we can be fairly certain that some sort of pairing existed even before recorded history. In its most primitive form, it appears to have been a pairing monogamy, similar to the pairing common among the higher animals.

From the most savage and primitive cultures through our present-day civilization, a ceremony has marked the union between a man and a woman. Usually the ceremony has been religious in character; among some peoples it was magical; among a few, merely social.

Primitive monogamy branched out into other forms of marriage: polygamy a plurality of wives or of husbands at the same time; polygyny a plurality of wives or concubines, the mating of one male with several or more females; polyandry the possession by a woman of more than one husband at a time. Deviations from monogamy are practiced more frequently by the wealthier classes. A man needs to be wealthy to support more than one wife; indeed in some countries, a man’s income is judged by the number of wives and concubines he possesses.

The most common form of marriage has always been monogamy principally because of the economic factor: a man can support one wife and one home better than several. A monogamous relationship resulted in a stronger family group, and the stronger the family group, the more secure the community.

The choice of mate has evolved a long time as well.

Primitive selection of a mate seems to have been a matter of free choice with the male as wooer, and the female accepting or rejecting. Among warlike tribes, marriage by capture was common because of social and military honour attached.

Then there developed among ancient tribes a wife-purchase custom. A marriage pact was arranged by the parents of girls and boys on a business deal basis. Property and valuables were exchanged under the term “bride-price.” This custom has survived through the years, and many instances exist even today.

One odd form of courtship combined both elements of capture and purchase. It seems that the bride was actually bargained for and sold, but she was sent away from her father’s camp on a swift horse, carrying her dowry with her. She was to ride furiously, and the bridegroom to give chase, and if he captured her before dark (as he always did) he might claim her. Or if he abducted his bride before paying for her, the purchase price was supposed to be a fine for his offence. Payment was originally in the form of desirable assets livestock, for instance, in an agricultural community. Later the sealing of the bargain was represented by a gift to the bride in the form of a bracelet, jewel, etc. The Romans early recognized three forms of marriage. First, the patrician families were accorded a religious form which was solemnized by the Pontifex Maximus in the presence of ten witnesses. Among the plebeians, the marriage was in the form of a purchase or rather a mock sale of both parties. The third form was the usus which began among the lower classes, but finally prevailed in all strata of society. Through this form, the woman was given in marriage into the hands of her husband who acquired thereby all rights over her person and property. In this form of marriage, however, it was required that the consent of both contracting parties be obtained.

Marriage among the early Teutonic peoples, although attested to by ceremonials, was chiefly a form of barter. A survival of the ancient tribal marriage-by-purchase custom, these marriages were arranged by the parents of the bride and groom upon agreement on terms of payment in the form of money, lands, cattle, jewels, or other valuables. By the 18th and 19th centuries, church weddings were required by Acts of Parliament in England, but in Scotland, informal marriages were still recognized by the law. Thus can many remnants of ancient marriage customs be discerned in our customs today: some grooms still ask the parents of his chosen bride for her “hand”; the father still “gives away” the bride; the bride and groom marry each other by their own consent.

The history of jewelry is tidily connected to the history of mankind. Some may argue that it is not proper to use the term personalized jewelry for those ages because the term itself appeared in the 60s of the last century. But quite a few experts agree that the jewelry of Antiquity had its unique purpose and distinct owner. Also the common practice from those ages was to bury the jewelry with its owner. And now we are able to tell about the person\’s life by the jewelry he owned.

Historians largely agree that the first signs of any kind of decoration were perforated snail shells dating some 75000 years ago. Copper was the first metal used to craft jewelry from and was introduced around 5000 B.C.

Mediterranean cultures began working gold for making jewelry around 3000 B.C. Egyptians valued gold for its luxury and ease of crafting which lead to making fine gold jewelry as symbol of wealth and power. Mesopotamian jewelry was manufactured from thin metal leaf with the usage of lot of precious an semi precious stones. Some centuries later the Greeks mastered the making of colored jewelry. Amethysts, pearl and emeralds were their favorite gemstones.

In China, both men and women wore jewelry to demonstrate their nobility and wealth. They used more often silver than gold and jade was their favorite stone.

The Romans had a lot of resources across the Europe and their African territories. They diversified the materials used in their jewelry. Women wore different necklaces, bracelets, tiaras, clasps and earrings. Men wore only rings but sometimes on every finger. They used to wear rings with embedded carved stone that was used to seal letters and other documents. This stone had their family sign or initials and we could say this was the first appearance of personalized jewelry in the sense we put to this phrase today.

After the fall of the Roman Empire the Franks and Celts continued to use solid gold in its jewelry like the Romans. Byzantium was more influenced by the eastern and Greek techniques and used light weight gold.

The age of exploration gave the jewelry makers a large variety of stones to use and made available some examples of of jewelry from other cultures. These were the reasons for the flourishing making of jewelry in the 17th century across Europe but mostly in France and Italy. Some gems like emerald, topaz, amazonitel, iolite, spinel, chrysoberyl, lapis lazuli, ruby, turquoise, amethyst, peridot, opal and garnet were among those used by jewelers at that time.

The second half of 18th century was a milestone in the history of jewelry making. A new technology of developing cheaper metals and artificial stones made possible the birth of jewelry for the masses.

Of course the wealthier had fine jewelry custom made for them by some goldsmith artists. Tiffany, Cartier, Bulgari and Faberge were the most famous and their trademarks continue to be synonyms of exquisite value and quality.

The beginning of 20th century saw the developing of high quality jewelry in mass production. The forms and shapes were simpler than before.

Somewhere around the end of World War II the taste for fine artistic jewelry reappeared and jewelry become what we know it now. And in the late sixties and early seventies a new fashion emerged – wearing bracelets with the name of the person. This was named personalized jewelry and came in various shape and materials.
